The Delusions Of Labour Regarding Rakesh Naidoo

Last night we posted this on some of our socials:

Rakesh Naidoo as number 13 on the Labour Party list for the 2026 elections begs the question of whether Labour truly cares about Indians, other South Asians and the wider Muslim community of Aotearoa.
We ask because we know Rakesh Naidoo is a Hindutva operator. We also know that we must present evidence. Because New Zealand works from the archaic Western model of black and white, where corruption presents itself in specific ways and multiculturalism is a Pākeha construct that serves Pākeha ways. Because we know the typical ‘liberal’ New Zealander still does not see how dangerous Hindu fascism is.
We see Rakesh Naidoo at a Hindu Council event and a Hindu Youth event representing the police. From our activist Indian perspective, Rakesh merely being at these events is evidence enough he is a Hindu fascist. Because unless you are an extremist or a wilfully ignorant NZ politician like Jenny Salesa, you would not be attending these events.
The Hindu Council of NZ is the local version of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a well known violent, Islamophobic Hindu fascist organisation from India. Hindu Youth is their youth wing. The VHP is notorious globally for its right-wing rhetoric and has been placed on terrorism watchlists previously.
Rakesh Naidoo being there representing NZ Police is worrying because as an ethnic liaison officer he should already have had the information on VHP/Hindu Council. Yet, there he was happily partaking.
Thirdly, Naidoo is there to talk about how these violent organisations can work with the police.
Now switch VHP with a white supremacist org and imagine NZ Police attending an event to discuss how they can collaborate.
Rakesh Naidoo will bring his Islamophobia, Hindu extremism, his moral and ethical corruption to Parliament, while disguised as that representative brown face Labour loves.

We repeat again that Rakesh's mere presence in these spaces is a red flag, a marker of his political ideology (conservative, patriarchal and deeply Islamophobic). THAT IS THE EVIDENCE! Anyone, especially an upper caste Hindu of Indian origin, associating with Hindu Council (VHP) and their affiliates IS A FASCIST.
And no, he is not 'doing his job' as ethnic liaison for NZ Police. He is using it as cover to create impunity for this violent extremist organisation and its indoctrinated youth. He is not building community relationships or working towards social cohesion. He is there to ward of doubters and legitimise the facade.
Because, as a ethnic liaison in-charge, Rakesh Naidoo would be very aware of the violent, extremist Hindutva ideology. It is a 100 year old ideology that international intelligence agencies, police organisations and anti-terror groups have been aware of for a very long time. So Rakesh would know. Therefore 'doing his job' would have meant not indulging these fascists, keeping a watch on their activities as NZ Police instead of the many innocent Muslim youth they surveilled and showing a spine to openly talk about the presence of Hindutva in Aotearoa.
We have had many queries asking us to 'show the evidence'. It is not our job to educate those who choose to see the various avatars of terror in a specific way because the 'evidence' does not fit their perspective.
We recommend you read more and educate yourself rather than put the burden on our activists.
Meanwhile, we say Chris Hipkins has made all kinds of mistakes by parachuting Rakesh Naidoo into the party list at number 13. Most of all making Aotearoa vulnerable to foreign interference from Modi and his acolytes.
